Norman metro builder takes reins of State Home Builders Association

Todd Booze of Norman officially took office as Oklahoma State Home Builder's Association's president Friday night, representing 2,400 members in Oklahoma's home-building industry.

 

 

Booze is a co-founder and president of construction with Ideal Homes. He is a long-time member of the OSHBA and served as vice president/treasurer in 2013, has been active at the national level and is former president of the Builders Association of South Central Oklahoma. He is also chair of the annual statewide Building Summit.

 

 

 

 

Gov. Mary Fallin was keynote of the banquet, held at the Central Oklahoma Home Builders Association event center.

Fellow Norman resident Kurt Dinnes of Sun Custom Homes in Oklahoma City is new to the state leadership board, installed as vice president/secretary. He is former president of Central Oklahoma Home Builders Association.

Another Norman resident, Donna Cullins with Preferred Plans Inc., is outgoing chair of the OSHBA's Associates Council. The Associates Council is the right arm of the OSHBA, and members include suppliers, manufacturers, architects, engineers, real estate brokers, lenders,attorneys and other industry professionals.

 

In addition to Dinnes, the OSHBA executive board includes Phil Rhees, BMI Properties, Tulsa, vice president/treasurer; and Jeff Click, Jeff Click Homes, Oklahoma City, outgoing president.

Gina Cox with ONG, Oklahoma City, rounds out the executive team as the Associates Council chair. Serving with Cox on the Associates Council are Steve Sullivan of OG&E, vice chair; Vanessa Shadix, Old Republic Title Co., treasurer; and Carol Clark, ONG, secretary.
