Certified Professional Builder of the Month

The April 2013 Certified Professional Builder of the Month is Kenyon Woods of Authentic Custom Homes.  Kenyon is a member of the Central Oklahoma Home Builders Association (COHBA).  COHBA is headquartered in Oklahoma City and covers not only Oklahoma City but many of the areas surrounding Oklahoma City, including Choctaw, Midwest City, Mustang, Yukon and Piedmont.  You can see the quality of homes Kenyon builds at his website - www.authentichomesok.com.

Authentic Custom Homes is owned by Kenyon and his wife Brandi.  Kenyon is a "hands-on" builder and can be found most days on the jobsite working alongside with his crews.  When the company first began, Brandi was the decorator, landscaper, and accountant for Authentic, while working full time in the medical field. The company grew rapidly and she began working with Kenyon full time in 2009, managing the “business” side of the company. They remain passionate and involved in each aspect of the custom homes they build. 

Kenyon is on the Board of Directors of the Central Oklahoma Home Builders Association and currently serves as Vice-President Secretary of COHBA.  Kenyon was the Chair of COHBA's Parade of Homes committee in 2012 and has served on the committee since 2010.  He also built their House of Hope in 2011.  Kenyon is also a member of the Oklahoma State Home Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders. 

Staying on the cutting edge of education is crucial to his own business and Kenyon knows it is important for all builders. He has been a Certified Professional Builder member since 2010.  Kenyon is thankful that he can get most of his continuing education at the OSHBA Summer Convention!  The use of the CPB logo (seen below) is prominent in his marketing materials, on his website and his certificate is proudly displayed in his office.  He challenges all builders to obtain their certification.
